Thanks for sharing Tom.

I gave a listen for a short period. A lot of the traffic was rather 
difficult for me to understand. There were times I could tell what was 
being said, other times not so. Probably about 50/50.

Our system is currently still patching digital over to an analog 
channel, so it's a mix of both depending on the user. For some reason 
the digital traffic is a lot easier to understand.  90% of the time it 
is copyable. The remaining 10% is lost to the technology and I can't 
pull it out with my ears. The stuff still analog is, well, absolutely great.

The Uniden scanner I had for a short while (programmed it for a friend) 
was pretty dismal on digital.
