Yes, currently the logging may look like Tank's screen in "The Matrix"... However it's easy to see if (and sometimes why) something goes wrong, given the instability of some layer23 apps. I am afraid with the new "meaningful" defaults we may end up with meaningless emptiness in the output... I do not insist of changing the logging levels but since this patch got a +1 from laforge and pespin I thought it might be worth to rebase it. osmocom-bb also special.
