> In theory yes, but the problem is that we'd have to add this to each and every osmocom project.  I was hoping for something that avoids lots of copy+pasting. Maybe we can install the m4 file from libosmocore and use it from all other projects, similar to our "make release" helper?

I'm going to research this and post a new patch, don't merge this for now.
