So far I didn't get around to it, but I've had a separation of BSC and MSC gsm_subscriber_connection on my to-do list for a long time now. Actually my plan was to have completely distinct structs in the two libs. The idea of these markings is to make the separating patch more readable; the separating patch itself still needs to be written.
