Personally I would prefer to use it for both for the sake of simplicity as we do not have egprs and gprs simultaneously anyway. In this case I could add support on top of it (just 1-line change anyway). However, if there's some reason why we should keep it separated, than this setting should refer to egprs explicitly and this patch should not be merged as it is.
